My Favorite Topic!

Today I get to discuss architecture again, except this time, it's Roman arhitecture and not Greek.
Here is the photo I chose:
Castel Sant'Angelo

This structure is the Castel Sant'Angelo. It is located in Rome and it was ordered to be built by the Roman Emperor Hadrian. Hadrian had the Castel Saint'Angelo built for himself and his family to act as their mausoleum. Along with Hadrian, his wife and first adopted son's ashes rest in this structure. Many other emperors after Hadrian were burried here and the structure was used as a castle and fortress. In present day, it is used as a museum. Outside of the strucure, there are many statues that line the sides of the walkway, and the structure itself has a round shape. Below is a picture of what the structure looks like at night.

I think this structure is realy pretty and it looks super cool in the second picture.
Thank you for reading and have a good day!
