CIA: Lets Get a 10/10

Today Mr. Schick rapped for us and we are doing some classwork on our blogs so here is mine:

1. Afghanistan has the highest Infant Mortality Rate in the entire world, but their Total Fertility Rate is 5.02 children per woman.
Why this is interesting: They have a population of about 34,940,837 people yet they have over 5 children per woman in the country. This shows that their population is staying stable, despite all the children they are having. This is because their Infant Mortality Rate is so High.

2. Antarctica has 23 airports
Why this is interesting: Antarctica has no population and according to the CIA World Factbook, the area can only become populated when scientific research and experiments are being carried out. This is strange because the research staff tend to use Antarctica's 53 heliports rather than their airports.

3. The United States has no official language
Why this is interesting: I believe this is strange because 78.2% of the people in America speak English. I believe that when a place has no official language, the one most commonly spoken should become the official language.

4. Canada has two official languages
Why this is interesting: 58.7% of canadians speak English and only 22% speak French. So why have two? This is because they are both so widely usen in that area that they both have to be official languages.

5. Niger has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the world
Why this is interesting: Niger is a developing country, and only 0.7% of the population is unemployed, yet they have many needs for people in the medical professions and they barely have any, even with all those people who do have jobs.

Part two
1. Based on Mongolia's pyramid, I believe their population is pretty stable and will stay that way.
Pyramid check: Yes, their population will remain about the same.

2. Greece's population appears to be stable, with the same amount of people for all ages.
Pyramid check: Their population is staying stable.

3. Fiji appears to have a slowly growing population.
Pyramid check: Fiji has a very slow and small increase in their population and then it may become stable by the year 2095.

4. Vietnam looks as if they have a slowly declining population.
Pyramid check: Yes, a very slow decline appears to be in their future.

5. Kenya has a rapidly growing population.
Pyramid check: Not exactly, because it does grow, but the numbers eventually become ver stable around the year 2100.
