This Will Blow Your Mind. I Promise.

Today in class we learned about maps, but not just any maps, maps that are inaccurate. I know this may sound boring but I can promise you that your mind is about to be blown. We talked about a map called the Mercator Projection Map and this map has been lying to you all. This is the map that your school probably used to teach you geography but this map is incredibly inaccurate. A more accurate version of this map would be the Gall-Peters Projection Map. This map has the same idea of the other one, but has better sizing of the continents and countries. We also watched a video clip from a tv show where they discuss this topic and they talk about a thing called 'northern and southern attitude'. Todays class was very interesting and I think Mr. Schick was surprised (and maybe even a little disappointed) that the class didn't throw a full blown tantrum over the whole map situation. I guess we really are the cool class. :)
