Aristocrats

Today in class we discussed the topic of Greek Politics. Allow me to say, I knew they were gonna be a little rough around the edges when it came to their way of government, but I didnt expect them to be THAT crazy. They would have full-blown parties to discuss their laws and , in true party fashion, if you didnt really fit in with the others, you werent invited (even if you were part of the political party). They got alittle crazy sometimes, but I guess they got the job done because Greece and its people still exist to this day. I cant really say much because I dont happen to be Greek, but I do know that Greece still exists. Greek politicians created a code that sort of resembles the Code of Hammurabi. They had a strict set of rules, but as long as you follow them, you should be pretty well off. If you dont follow them, be expecting the death penalty. I know this may sound a little crazy but this was just normal life for them. Greek politics are very different from our politics, but that is what makes learning about it so interesting. I cant wait to learn more!
